Our Story

About Our Brand

At Hempatrics, we believe construction should work with nature, not against it. Our hempcrete is made from industrial hemp hurd mixed with a lime-based binder, creating a building material that is non-toxic, breathable, and naturally insulating.

What makes hempcrete special? It's carbon-negative — meaning it absorbs more CO₂ than it produces. It's energy-efficient, keeping buildings cool in summer and warm in winter. And it's all U.S.-sourced, supporting American agriculture and manufacturing.

Whether you're insulating a shed or building a home from the ground up, Hempatrics delivers the materials and expertise to make your project sustainable and successful.

Our Roadmap

Building Central PA's Hemp Processing Future

Hempatrics is a licensed hemp stalk processing facility in Mifflintown, Pennsylvania. We're building this step by step, starting with what the market needs now and growing into what the industry will demand next.

Phase 1 — 2026

Hemp Animal Bedding

Our decorticator separates hemp stalks into hurd and fiber. The hurd becomes premium animal bedding for horses, chickens, goats, and small animals. Naturally absorbent, dust-free, and compostable. Available to farms and stables across central Pennsylvania.

Now

Phase 2 — Late 2026

Hempcrete Materials

Hemp hurd mixed with a natural lime binder creates hempcrete, a breathable, carbon-negative insulation material now recognized in the 2024 International Residential Code. We will supply bulk hurd and pre-mixed hempcrete to builders and contractors across the mid-Atlantic region.

Next

Phase 3 — 2027+

Industrial Bast Fiber

The outer bark of the hemp stalk produces strong, versatile bast fiber. Applications include erosion control, biocomposites, automotive parts, and textile feedstock. As our processing capacity grows, fiber becomes a high-value secondary product.

Coming

Phase 4 — 2028+

Toll Processing Services

If you grow hemp but don't have processing equipment, we can decorticate your stalks for you. Bring your harvest to our facility, we separate it into hurd and fiber, and you take the finished product to market. Central PA's first toll decorticator.
